Matériaux et procédés artisanaux
Acacia Wood is one of the best options for cutting boards. It’s a durable, long-lasting wood that is resistant to moisture, rot, and bacteria. It’s sustainable because of how fast-growing acacia trees are. They are easy to replace and are adaptable to climates all over the world.
Our Acacia Wood Cutting Boards are handmade by craftsmasters in the Lamphun province of northern Thailand. All of the Acacia Wood used is locally sourced in the forests covering over 57% of the province.
Uses for Wooden Cutting Boards
- Dicing herbs and vegetables for use in your KROK Mortar and Pestle, while cooking, or as a garnish.
- Preparing meats for cooking or grilling, cutting them down to the correct size.
- As a display tray for serving food to large groups. Can be used as a charcuterie board or to place dipping ingredients for a dip made in your KROK.
Please hand wash your acacia wood cutting board. A light detergent and a soft sponge are all you need to clean the cutting board. Natural wood doesn’t like moisture so be sure to dry it with a cloth after washing.
Every few months, you can wipe the cutting board down with a neutral oil to maintain the condition of the wood and restore the look of the cutting board.
